Detailed Description
Dexamethasone is a white or almost white crystalline powder,odorless.It is slightly soluble in methanol,ethanol,acetone,or dioxane,slightly soluble in chloroform,very slightly soluble in ether,and practically insoluble in water.
Dexamethasone,also known as Flamethasone,flumeprednisolone,desamethasone,is a glucocorticoid hormone.Its derivatives include hydrocodesone,prednisone and so on,its pharmacological effects are mainly anti-inflammatory,anti-toxin,anti-allergy,anti-rheumatism,clinical use is more widely.
1.Anti-inflammatory effect:Dexamethasone can reduce and prevent the tissue's response to inflammation,thereby alleviating the manifestations of inflammation.Hormones inhibit the accumulation of inflammatory cells,including macrophages and leukocytes,at sites of inflammation and inhibit phagocytosis,the release of lysosomal enzymes,and the synthesis and release of chemical mediators of inflammation.
